COVID-19 Update

-Current Department of Defense and Air Force Academy policies require all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask when indoors in all Academy facilities, including the press box, Blue and Silver Club, suites, elevators and restrooms. All individuals who have not been fully vaccinated must also wear masks outdoors at all times while on the installation. Fans who are fully vaccinated and are not required to wear a mask when outdoors. Anyone with a COVID-19 diagnosis within the previous 10 days, or any symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19, or a recent close contact with an individual known to be positive for COVID-19 should not come to the stadium. These policies will be constantly evaluated and any changes will be communicated.

Series History vs. Opponents

-The Falcons lone matchup with the Patriots took place in 1997, a 2-1 home defeat.

-Air Force’s next three matches are versus Patriot League opponents, where the Falcons are 9-12-4 against current conference members.

-Air Force has not played the Naval Academy since 2002, a 2-1 neutral site loss in St. Louis, Mo.

-In service academy matchups, Air Force is 9-12-2 against both Navy and Army, including records of 2-4 against the Midshipmen and 7-8-2 against the Black Knights.

-As well, on September 16, the Falcons will travel to West Point, N.Y. to play Army.

 

Attacking Defense

The Falcons grabbed their first win of the 2021 season on Sept. 2 against Cal-Poly, erasing a one-goal deficit to win 2-1 at home.

-Defenders Kayla Milford and Ashlie Van Cleave found the back of the net for the first time this season, with Milford scoring her second career goal and Van Cleave notching her first collegiate finish.

– Freshman defender Hannah Johnson, whose free kick paved the way for Milford’s headed goal, entered the stat sheet for first time in her career as well.

Conference Comparison

– Junior Faith Lee, is fourth in the Mountain West in shots per game (2.67)

– Sophomore keeper Cammi Bych is tied for sixth in the conference in saves (12), averaging exactly 4.00 saves per match, tying her for fourth-best in the MWC.

-Following matchups with George Mason and Navy, the Falcons will again return east for a trip to Army on September 16, scheduled for a 4 pm MT kickoff.
