BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its final women’s lacrosse athletes of the week and four Navy student-athletes earned weekly accolades. Reagan Roelofs (Apple Valley, Minn.) was named Attacker of the Week, while Christine Fiore (Darien, Conn.) was named Defensive Player of the Week. Freshmen Jo Torres (Prince Frederick, Md.) and Lindsay Beardmore (Annapolis, Md.) were selected as Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
 
The quartet helped lead Navy to a 14-8 victory over Bucknell on Friday evening at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to secure the final spot in the Patriot League Tournament.
 
Roelofs finished the game with three goals, including two free-position goals, and a team-high 11 draw controls. It was the junior’s first hat trick of the season and the eighth of her career. Roelofs won 11 of Navy’s 14 draw controls on the night. It was the junior’s 11th double-digit draw performance of her 38-game career and the fifth for her this season.
 
Fiore concluded the game with a career-high three caused turnovers, registering three of Navy’s eight CTs in the game (.375). In addition, she led the team with three ground balls. Fiore helped facilitate the offense, aiding in the Mids converting 22 clear attempts.
 
Torres came in off the bench to earn the victory over Bucknell on Friday evening. She recorded seven saves with just three goals allowed in 36 minute of action. The freshman entered the game with Navy trailing 4-3 and helped keep the Bison scoreless for the final 11 and a half minutes of the first half, allowing Navy to go on a 6-0 run to take control of the game.
 
Beardmore continued her hot play with a team-high four points on two goals and two assists in her fourth collegiate game. She opened up the scoring for the Midshipmen with the first two goals of the game, while adding an assist on the Mids’ third goal. In four career games, Beardmore has eight goals and seven assists for 15 total points.
 
Navy returns to action on Monday afternoon as the Midshipmen travel to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals against Lehigh at 1:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and live stats will be available.
