U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. – Air Force junior Peter Fiori and freshman Morgan Kreb were named College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Americans, while Kreb and junior Devin Schwindt received Scholastic All-America honors.
“With Peter, Morgan, and Devin getting recognized as CRCA All-Americans, it’s the best way we could wrap up this very challenging year”, said head coach Launi Meili.
Individually, Fiori was named to the CRCA second team in both smallbore and air rifle. In aggregate scoring, Fiori was named CRCA All-America third team. This is Fiori’s third CRCA All-America honor of his Academy career.
Kreb, who was named second team in both the smallbore and the air rifle, received her first combined CRCA America second-team honor. She was also named to the CRCA’s Scholastic All-American list.
Junior Devin Schwindt received his CRCA Scholastic All-America honor for the second time of his Academy career.
“The cadets were resilient, with matches almost every weekend starting in January,” said Meili. “They survived academically, with many missed days due to travel, and we made it as a team to Nationals! I’m proud with how hard they continued to work without a break right up to the championships. Now we’ll use what we learned through this crazy year to “build on for next season!
