This week’s airline news sees the removal of Maui’s second COVID testing requirement, a limited-time offer with Hawaiian airfare and hotel packages, deals to Cancun, and continued expansion of international routes with Delta.

Maui ends second testing requirement

It was only a month ago Maui launched a post-arrival second testing requirement for passengers arriving on the island. That requirement is no more, Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino announced last week.

Travelers arriving in Maui County must still complete the State of Hawaii Safe Travels online application and complete pre-travel testing requirements through an approved testing provider.

Hawaiian deals on flight and hotel bundles

Alaska deals on flights to Cancun


Ready to enjoy an all-inclusive resort getaway? It’s the perfect time to book a future flight to Cancun, as Alaska Airlines has great rates for Seattle to Cancun throughout this year and next.

Think ahead for spring break 2022, as Alaska is showing flight fares for as low as $199 one-way. Additional low Alaska Airlines fares on offer this week include Seattle to Burbank starting at $79 and Seattle to Las Vegas or Palm Springs starting as low as $89 each way.

Delta expands flights to France

Fully vaccinated Americans may visit France without quarantine beginning June 9, and Delta is responding with another increase in international flights. This includes an expansion of Paris flights from Minneapolis and Nice flights from New York-JFK.

Paris-Charles de Gaulle is already serviced twice daily from Atlanta, once daily from New York-JFK, and three times per week from Detroit. On July 7, three times weekly service will begin to Paris from Minneapolis, along with daily service from Boston beginning August 5. Beginning July 8, service to Nice from New York-JFK will take place three times per week.
