AVON — Avon rallied back to beat Parkston in a five-set thriller Tuesday night to win its third match of the season. Set scores were 23-25, 17-25, 28-26, 26-24 and 17-15.
Avon (3-1): Tiffany Pelton had 24 kills and 12 digs while Courtney Sees had 12 kills and 20 assists. McKenna Kocmich added 28 assists and 15 digs. Katie Gretschmann led the team with 33 digs while Sam Brodeen had 23 digs and 8 kills. Avon hosts Andes Central/Dakota Christian on Sept. 2.
Parkson (1-5): Mya Nuebel had 14 kills and 21 digs while Brielle Bruening had 13 kills and 10 digs. Allison Ziebart led the team with 37 digs while Faith Oakley had 20 assists. Avery Bogenreif chipped in with 13 assists. The Trojans host Hanson on Sept. 2.
Bridgewater-Emery 3, Howard 0
HOWARD — Bridgewater-Emery picked up it’s straight victory Tuesday, winning 25-15, 25-9 and 25-12.
Bridgewater-Emery (3-0): Julia Weber had 15 kills and 3 ace serves in the winning effort, with Taylor Schallenkamp adding 11 kills and Chloe Schmitt having 10 kills. Kaitlyn Roskens had a team-high 17 assists while Casey Meyer 16 assists and 2 ace serves. Cava Meyer had 12 digs and Julia Weber 9 digs. The Huskies travel to Wessington Springs on Sept. 2
Howard (1-2): Emma Rudebusch had 3 kills and five assists. Piper Thompson had 11 digs while Katlin Schlim had 8 digs. Kate Connor added 7 kills and Rylee Rudebusch added 5 kills. Howard travels to Freeman on Sept. 2.

MONTROSE — Chester Area won its third straight volleyball match on Tuesday with a win over McCook Central/Montrose. Set scores were 25-13, 23-25, 25-10 and 25-21.
Chester Area (5-2): Lily VanHal had 20 digs, 25 assists and 8 kills while Serena Larson had 9 kills. Emery Larson notched 28 digs while Carly Becker had 18 assists. The Flyers travel to Baltic on Sept. 7.
McCook Central/Montrose (1-4): Abby Roling led the team with 19 digs while Michaela McCormick had 8 kills and 9 digs. Briana Even added 20 assists and 3 ace serves. The Fighting Cougars travel to Parker on Sept. 2.
Kimball/White Lake 3, Ethan 2
WHITE LAKE — Kimball/White Lake earned a home victory Tuesday night, claiming a back-and-forth five-set match. Set scores were 23-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-18 and 15-8.
Kimball/White Lake (1-1): Dani Deffenbaugh had 28 kills, 18 digs and 5 ace serves to lead the WildKats. Ryann Nielsen had 48 assists, 18 digs and 10 kills while Harley Namanny had 20 digs, 10 kills and 10 assists. Madison Heath led the team with 40 digs. Kimball/White Lake travels to Burke on Sept. 2.
Ethan (0-2): Ava Lingemann had 9 assists and 4 kills while Emiley Hoffman had 8 kills. Tayla Schmidt added 6 digs for the Rustlers and Hannah Bartscher added 5 blocks.

WAGNER — Mount Vernon/Plankinton picked up its third win of the season with a four-set victory over Wagner on Tuesday. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-13.
